AbbaDox eForms are interactive electronic documents that replace the hand-written notes used to record patient visits. The eForms are exact replicas of your paper-based forms, and can be completed using tablets devices such as the iPad or desktop and laptop computers.
From H&P forms to progress notes to verbal orders, the numerous physical documents traditionally requiring scanning for inclusion in a
facility’s EHR system are instead converted to digital form, or created digitally from the start, eliminating the need for redundant data entry and streamlining workflows with intuitive and dynamic forms that adapt to user response and process context.
With eForms, you can:
- Enable point of care encounter documentation
- Reduce data entry errors
- Authorize forms with digital signatures
- Lower the cost of processing submitted forms
- Easily integrate with other solutions and processes
- Collect data for meaningful use
Smart Data Entry
Predictive text fields, predefined drop-down lists and checkboxes, as well as dynamic form adjustment based on information provided, ensure quick and accurate notation of patient encounters, while free-text entry offers the flexibility required for complete expression. Without any training, even users with little computer expertise can complete eForms quickly and consistently.
Portability
Accessible from various devices, eForms can be completed on laptops and desktop PCs using Abbadox and on wireless devices such as the iPad using Mobile AbbaDox.
Immediate Authorization and Distribution
Upon submission, eForms are signed digitally and distributed according to the specific workflow defined.
Image or Narrative Output
Completed eForms, sometimes many pages long, can be prepared for output as an image, or the data can be used to generate a report in narrative form.
Safe Review and Modification
All submitted eForms are securely archived and thus can be reviewed and modified on the next patient visit, or whenever necessary, without compromising the integrity of the original document.
Customizable Workflows and Integration with Reporting Tools
For each form type, a specific workflow can be defined to ensure the timely and proper flow of information within a facility. For physician verbal orders, for example, the workflow can facilitate authentication within the CMS mandated time frame. As well, eForms can work in conjunction with other reporting tools, such as Voice2Dox with its speech recognition and template-based reporting capabilities.
