Referring Physician Portal

The IDS Referring Physician Portal provides a key differentiator for any referral-based specialty by allowing their referring physicians to instantly pull critical healthcare information from AbbaDox, our Web-based workflow portal. Doctors logging into the Referring Physician Portal can access all of their patients' diagnostic images and final reports using any Web browser.

To view radiographic images, referring physicians traditionally needed to have 'mini-PACS' workstations installed at their offices and/or use VPN networks. The Referring Physician Portal significantly improves and simplifies the safe exchange of health information between multiple providers using our cloud computing infrastructure.

The Referring Physician Portal includes the IDS Image Viewer, a Microsoft® Silverlight-powered DICOM image viewing solution that lets imaging centers push final results and diagnostic images to referring physicians through the Web. The Viewer works with any PACS solution and is able to pre-cache complex images, providing users a streaming experience using only a DSL connection.

The IDS Referring Physician Portal is accessible using a PC or Apple® computer, iPad™, iPhone™, Android™ or Windows Mobile™ smartphone devices.
