Mobile ePrescription
Our Mobile ePrescription application for the iPhone allows doctors to provide a higher level of patient care and service without sacrificing the security of electronic medication orders, renewals and formulary checking.
Working in conjunction with the electronic prescription module available in AbbaDox, providers perform all of the essential functions of electronic prescribing in real-time through an interface that is formatted for the smaller screen of today’s mobile devices.
The application provides live interaction between doctors, pharmacies, health plans and the PC-based module, and does not require any updates or syncing of the device. Using Mobile ePrescription, providers can quickly and securely prescribe from anywhere, and features the same user interface as what’s available in AbbaDox.
The Mobile ePrescription application features:
- Electronically transferred prescriptions and renewals sent to the patient’s retail or mail order pharmacy
- Checks for patient insurance eligibility, formulary, and patient medication history
- Clinical decision support tools to check prescriptions for drug-drug and drug-allergy interactions and appropriate dosing
- Workflow tools that incorporate the practice’s staff into the prescribing process. Mobile ePrescription is designed to be accessible to all staff members and is configurable for staff roles
- Enabling ePrescriptions can be made on a doctor-by-doctor basis
- Provider-specific favorites list including the SIG and strength previously determined appropriate for an existing patient
- Mobile ePrescription can be invoked directly from Mobile AbbaDox
