IDS to Showcase Mobile Charge Capture, Coding Workflow at AHIMA 2012

Cross Platform Solutions Streamline Revenue Cycle

FORT LAUDERDALE – September 27, 2012 ― IDS, a healthcare technology company which provides EHR and clinical information management services in the cloud, will showcase its integrated medical charge capture and coding applications at the 84th Annual American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) Convention & Exhibit (Booth 233) to be held October 1-3 in Chicago.

Developed for hospitals and healthcare billing companies, AbbaDox Charge Capture is a physician-centric application hospitalists and specialists use to record patient encounter charge details. The solution expedites the direct hand-off of billing information from physicians to coders and allows for patient list management by both physicians and their support staff. The cloud application operates as an overlay to the existing hospital information management (HIM) system, and drastically reduces, if not eliminates, lost or late charge submissions that can occur with a paper and fax process.

AbbaDox Charge Capture includes embedded logic that associates billing levels with charge codes and notifies the provider of any missed charges. The application works on both desktop and mobile devices, allowing physicians to use their tablets or smartphones, while nurses manage patient worklists from any desktop. The AbbaDox Charge Capture application also produces a number of analytical reports allowing administrators and billing departments to measure productivity and track coding and revenue cycle patterns over time.

“Our business thrives on developing cost-effective, innovative ways to assist information management professionals, and more than ever, we have focused on addressing the unique demands of the hospital environment,” said IDS CEO Yaniv Dagan. “AbbaDox Charge Capture can be fully deployed in a matter of weeks, with a seamless integration with the HIM system or physician portal. Most importantly, the costs for these comprehensive tools are minimal."

IDS will present the charge capture and coding solutions at Booth 233.
